I don’t even know where to start with how incredibly disappointing and frustrating our experience was with this travel agency. We had planned our honeymoon immediately after our wedding, with a departure date of November 21st. We paid the full amount in *September* – yes, *fully paid* in advance. They promised to reserve our flight tickets right after the payment, but by the end of October, nothing had been done. Despite sending countless reminders, stressing how important this trip was to us, they didn’t take any action.
Our wedding came and went, and still, no tickets. We reached out again, hoping they’d finally get things together, but no. Instead, just hours before our planned departure, they told us we had to pay *extra* money (around 2 lakhs) just to book the tickets – and that’s after we had already paid in full! We were promised that the money would be refunded later, but that was just another lie. The whole thing was a nightmare.
And it doesn’t stop there. The owner, Sumedha,instead of taking responsibility, he ruined our original plans and delayed everything. We ended up flying to Thailand *later* than originally planned, with even no flight meal plans, no organized trips. We had to pay out of our own pockets for the most basic things (some places entrance tickets).
To make matters worse, after returning to Sri Lanka, he owes us around 4 lakhs – a cumulative of all the promised reimbursements and money we had to spend out of pocket during the trip. It’s been two months, and we’ve only received 1 lakh back. The rest? Who knows. It’s been a constant struggle just to get what we’re owed.
This agency ruined our special moment, our memories, and now our finances. I wouldn’t trust them with *anything*. Please, avoid this agency at all costs. You don’t want to go through what we did.
I hope Sumedha faces consequences for the stress & damage he caused to us. Never again.
